The products that I have chosen will help my student express their creativity. When I tell my kids about my old art teachers and tell them about all my fond memories I had, they just don't get it. I tell them about painting self-portraits, making a collage with painting lines, textures, working with clay, making paper flowers, making paper maiche dolls and so many other projects. They just have no clue what I am talking about. Some of my kids have never experienced mixing two colors to make a new color. When I tell them about mixing the colors, they are mystified. I am not sure why we don't have art on our campus. Sadly, my little six year olds will miss out on discovering the artist within and the world might lose out on the next Picasso.
