School can be difficult for anyone, especially for those with sensory processing disorders like Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Narcolepsy, or a strong need to fidget. A study in 2003 was published in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy concluding that in students with ADHD, sitting on therapy balls improved behavior and legible word productivity. In other words, students using ball chairs were able to sit still, focus, and write more words clearly. I would love the proper furniture and materials in my room to help these individuals be successful. The balance balls will endure each student can pay attention and the fidgets will do the same.
