When my students enter their LA classroom, I want them to feel welcome and engaged with the option for standing, instead if sitting, at their desk. Many students just can”t stay still for a 50 min class. Scientific studies have shown that standing stimulates learning. When my students need to write a paper for a literary response, a standing table will allow them to stretch, stand, and move around, rather than being confined to a chair. Working with other students will be more engaging as they converse across a high-top in an engaged position. By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
