I teach anywhere from 100-120 students a year. I have a very diverse and wonderful group of students. I have football players, cheerleaders, choir members, band nerds (trust me-this is a badge of honor!), Student Council members, gamers, artistic students, just to name a few, and they all get along beautifully. My favorite thing about my students is that they take challenges head on and they are accepting of one another. One of my favorite things this year was one class taking it upon themselves to turn around and face the wall while one of our students with extreme anxiety was giving their speech. They didn't ask if the same could be done for them. They didn't balk, or laugh. They understood that people are all different.
