I will be implementing a new curriculum for my K-4 students to begin thinking about their future goals. I plan to create activities such as researching their interests, colleges, and universities that can accommodate their needs and the joys of experiencing a post-secondary degree. I also want students to be able to research career paths that are realistic for their abilities and interests. I believe that if students have goals, they will become more focused on their schoolwork, as they know all of their efforts will be for a vital purpose someday. They can become familiar with different industries through research projects and informational texts/technology. My students can use the tablets to engage in interactive exercises to explore the college and career possibilities best suited for them as individuals, and to practice balancing budgets and sticking to goals, in preparation for adult life!
