Coordination and access to a variety of mobility options are vital to our deaf students, especially those with physical and or developmental delays. These trikes and swing carts will allow ALL students to be able to travel around the gym! We have no outside green space for playing, so we do everything active-related in the gym. Some students have weak lower bodies so swing carts would encourage upper body strength and coordination. The opposite is true for others who need lower body strength and coordination practice. Our deaf/blind students could ride both options and feel safe without the option of tipping over on a traditional bike! AND, many of our students don't even have a bike or trike to ride at home!
