My students are comprised of diverse cultures and backgrounds from the inner city. They are in grades 6-8, but have varying needs requiring vast supports. When provided applicable resources, my students are amazing inquiry driven student scientists. Given our current trailer classroom, site based budgeting and other curriculum's funding needs, it is often difficult to create this environment for my students. However, my students are so versatile and grateful for what assets they are given, they make it work. If provided appropriate conditions, my students are capable of turning their questions into successful investigations that lead to purposeful data driven answers. When given these opportunities, my students have flourished with scientific and engineering processes.
