Many students become intimidated by Shakespeare's poetic and archaic language. Without reading confidence, many students will give up before even starting and miss out on all Shakespeare has to offer. Shakespearean drama gives students access to timeless themes that are applicable in their own lives and situations and his complex characters give students avenues by which to explore the human condition. The study of Shakespeare and his world is indispensable in the English IV classroom. By utilizing the No Fear Shakespeare series, students can analyze Shakespeare's original language alongside a modern day translation, giving them the best of both worlds.
