I want to allow my students to have flexible seating. Kids do not do well sitting in a regular chair for very long. They need to opportunity to move while they are learning. Flexible seating allows the students to move while learning which has shown to improve the students learning and on-task behaviors. I have many students this year that choose to kneel or stand in front of their desks because they get tired of sitting and learning. Flexible seating will give them a tool to sit at and move about while learning. The flexible seating will be used on a daily basis during independent work time, learning time and group work time.
