My students are children in grades 3-5 who have various learning and social challenges. My job as a Student Support Services resource teacher is to provide curriculum and other modifications for IEP students in the regular classroom. Services are provided in their homeroom along with pull-out groups in my classroom. A main component of my classroom is using tools and strategies via the AVID program (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and an emphasis on technology. Together they provide different ways to support the various learning styles of my students and teach them to be independent learners.
