Students will be exploring micro-organisms that can only seen using 400x microscopes. These microscopes will take student learning out of a text book and into real world application. Students will collect sample micro-organisms found in their local ecosystem as well as examining organisms not found in the surrounding ecosystem. Students will apply the STEM skills of problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration in order to investigate the multiple phenomenons found in the Diversity of Life. Students will gain a much more in depth knowledge and understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards while investigating, examining, observing, recording, and publishing results.
