My hardworking and conscientious students strive every day to participate positively in their general education classrooms. However, sometimes they need additional support in order to succeed emotionally and academically. In addition to providing social and emotional support to my students, my program also provides leveled academic support to help them gain access to the general education curriculum; however, my classroom library is woefully lacking in high-interest books to explore with my students and build upon their skills. I am hoping to build a current and engaging classroom library that will inspire my students to become lifelong readers.
