The students in my current and future classes will be able to use these books and puppets to help build the skills they need to move to kindergarten. Books, puppets and felt characters will give my students different ways to learn about stories. Interacting with different characters in books will improve their oral vocabulary and language skills. Playing different characters in stories will build creativity, both socially and emotionally, while learning to share materials and work cooperatively with their classmates. The puppet theater will enable all of the students to act out stories while building confidence and knowledge about literature and life. A donation to this project will allow my students to develop a lifelong love of reading. Please help make this year a positive and effective experience for every child in my classroom.
