A students ability to read stems from their love to learn. If the classroom library is bare and only consists of books at one level and of little interest then we are creating a poor image of what reading really is. Books have the power to change ones life. To instill a love of reading opens so many doors for our future leaders! Beings that many of my students aren't exposed to a large library at home it's extremely important that they have that opportunity to select a book of choice at school. I want to give my students the opportunity to adventure into a different worlds through words. As I plan to push in the Daily 5 reading structure into my classroom these books will truly engage the students into wanting to practice their reading skills.
