All of the students in my classroom have a desire to learn, unfortunately not every student has the means to purchase the materials required to support this desire. My classroom is a resource room where students who do not have the support at home can come to me to get help with math work, tutoring or completing/making up missing math homework. Most of the work my student complete requires the use of a scientific calculator. These calculators will remain in my classroom and assigned to students to use so they will always have access to them, limiting the frustration of not being able to complete their assigned work. Students will receive the required training to use the vast array of functions available on these calculators, not only improving their math skills, but their overall technological skills, preparing them for the real-world workforce.
