After months of uncertainties, quarantines, canceled sports leagues & activities, our scholars are finally coming back to a beautiful new campus. We are so excited to provide them with a state of the art building, but our playground areas lack the equipment they need to enjoy the space safely. Many of our students do not have access to organized sports or opportunities for recreation, and all of our students need to be socializing and exercising, especially after experiencing isolation and anxiety over these past few months. Recess and playtime are more critical than ever so to provide a healthy break from the rigors of everyday stress and challenges, especially during this time. Play time in middle school is crucial and fosters numerous cognitive, social, emotional, and physical benefits. We want to provide them with the best possible options for this time together.
