The Harmony Director is a revolutionary tuning device for teaching intonation by comparative learning. Unlike traditional tuners that correct one pitch at a time, it teaches students to tune the notes within actual chords, helping improve intonation, harmony and overall sound. It also helps control note attack, brilliance and release. The built-in metronome is programmable and a tap-tempo feature lets you set tempos. When I teach using the harmony director, I am able to play the student's part for them with the metronome, and have them play along with me. It also transposes for every instrument, which is extremely beneficial. Using a harmony director will improve the overall musicianship of the students in the Middle School bands, along with creating a pleasant learning experience for all students.
