I plan to create adapted books and personalized binders for students to work from. Using Velcro, laminated sheets and card stock makes these materials durable and easy to re-use time after time. Each of my students' academic needs are met right where they are. That means that I usually have many students working on different concepts and the same time. Also, my students greatly benefit from repetition, review and constant exposure to a concept before it is mastered. Being able to create durable schedules and work materials, using the requested thick paper, velcro, and laminating sheets will allow me to make easy to use work center activities that can be re-used often. These children are an inspiration to me- they work extremely hard to grasp concepts that come easily to other students.
