My students and I read and enjoy The Great Gatsby in American Literature (English 11) every year. However, there are obstacles to student success in regards to this book. There are currently not enough copies for every student, and many of the copies we do have are falling apart. (This isn't surprising because some of our Gatsby books are older than me!) Having a new set of books that are all the same edition will benefit my students during class discussions and while working on related activities and homework. We will be able to spend less time finding the correct page and more time reading and enjoying the story!
