We want to begin building a middle school robotics program. Robotics exist at the elementary level, but the elementary students do not have the means to continue on with robotics once they get to the middle school. By engaging in robotics and coding, our students will be able to practice logical thinking and critical thinking skills, while gaining valuable knowledge of how to communicate and work as part of a team. They will be able to apply knowledge of physics and math to a practical and tangible environment by utilizing concepts like simple machines, solving equations, analyzing data, and continuously refining their designs to solve real world problems. We are starting out small with only three kits, but our goal is eventually reach a total of 9 kits. This will allow us to effectively reach the majority of our 8th grade students.
