My students do much of their coursework online. The problem is, many of them come from homes that can't afford the tools necessary to do online work at home. Many of the homes have wifi, but they don't have the proper computers to do their homework. With shrinking budgets, our school can't offer the resources many other districts offer their students. These Chromebooks will allow these students to check a computer out overnight or over the weekend. This will make it so much easier to finish their online programs. This, in turn, will allow me to spend more time in the classroom focusing on other requirements necessary for graduation.
