We are in need of a new rug. The rug that is currently in our room is over 10 years old. We spend the majority of our day sitting on our carpet for reading and math. A nice new rug would be very inviting for my students to come to carpet time. This new rug would give my students enough space to sit comfortably while completing their daily activities. A rug with squares will give each student a spot to sit and they won't have to worry about it their is enough room on the rug to sit. They will know which square to sit in and no one will have to question where to sit. Having a bright new rug in the classroom will be more inviting for the students to work cooperatively during centers or group work.
