My students come from all walks of life with many different world experiences. We are a Title 1 school, where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are excited about their community garden and growing fresh fruits and vegetables to share with other students in the school. We need these tools to continue to maintain our small first grade garden. It's important that they learn how a plant grows and be able to experience first hand. It will be the first time our classroom will experience in planting and taking care of a plant. It will be an amazing activity.
