During remote learning many of my students may not have access to basic learning materials such as personal white boards, white board markers, notebooks and earbuds in their home. I would love to create a take home kit that can be used for our large group, small group and individual live lessons. I can promote student engagement in our lessons and assess student understanding when children show their work on their personal whiteboards. The children can also use notebooks to journal, draft and finalize writing. I also want to make sure that students have personal earbuds to maintain safety and eliminate having to share any type of materials when my students return for modified in person learning. When modified in person learning does occur I want to welcome the children to a warm and safe environment. The furniture can be used as a cozy reading corner or as a safe place to calm down and take a break when needed. The chairs were carefully considered for easy sanitizing after each use. In reality we don't know what this school year holds but I believe that most students will understand how much we want them in the classroom and care deeply about their educational success.
