I teach in a great school in a great community. Admittedly, we are often overlooked or receive less funding because our status is considered 'low poverty.' However, my students are great kinderkids who love learning and seek to understand the world that they hear about but do not yet fully deeply realize is genuinely theirs. They care about each other and I work deeply and intentionally to bring higher order thinking such as equity, fairness, gender, global citizenship, etc. to my daily instruction. They LOVE learning about our city and state and now their nation.
