Listening is a skill that all of my students need to practice. The access to headphones will allow my students to use their listening skills to help with their story comprehension. I will use these headphones to allow my students access to stories that are read aloud to them, during my reading groups. The headphones will also give them the opportunity to use online phonics activities and games to hone their abilities and at their unique learning levels. Listening skills are important for all learning activities, including math, science, and reading. In my math groups, I plan on using the headphones to allow my students access to math practice and activities that are used in my school district. They will also be used to introduce science topics that I will teach in more detail, in my own lessons and projects. The whole set of headphones will be used monthly, to administer state-mandated monthly reading tests and quarterly math assessments. The headphones will permit each child to hear the assessment questions being read to them. This will help them to succeed on their test results. We would greatly appreciate your help to make all of this happen!
