Research has shown that providing students with flexible seating options has many benefits. Students using flexible seating see improved posture, increased oxygen flow to the brain, improved focus, motivation and engagement. By providing my students with options for flexible seating, they have an outlet for their excess energy, and an opportunity for improved focus and behaviors. My students have many daily struggles at school. By providing the opportunity for them to show success in school, we will improve their feeling of self worth. With improved behavior, we will also be able to begin putting them in more classes with their peers. I am requesting 2 Hokki stools to help my students get the movement they need while focusing on the tasks at hand.
