As a teacher, I am my students' advocate and my students really deserve to have the same level of technology as other students in their community. Unfortunately, our classrooms are not at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. Adding iPads in the classroom will allow students to have access to plenty of applications and programs that will develop their skills in all subject matter. With eBooks students can create their own personal narrative and opinion piece writing. With iMovies they can create videos about the continents they are exploring. With Keynote they can create student portfolios to share with parents. This is just the beginning of all the wonderful tools my students can use.
