My students, grades 6-8, display creative tendencies when it comes to building or tinkering but struggle with engagement during literacy and math activities. I’ve heard some students say there are too many ideas in my head, and I can’t get them out. I need to see and feel things so I can “do” my work not just “talk” about my work. These LEGOs I need will help my students communicate through building. Students will use the LEGOs on the LEGO wall to help solve math equations, tell stories, teach and learn literacy skills, and learn writing sequences. Tactile and manipulative learning is a paradigm shift for learners who need to reimage their learning style. And of course to have fun on the LEGO Wall. As we get more legos, storage will become an issue. Therefore, I am also in need of storage drawers. These will be used to separate LEGOs by shape, size, and color.
