Students today need to be engaged at all times! In my classroom we work together to problem solve and accomplish every task. We do a lot of hands-on group activities and encourage every student to have a 'job' in the group. I would like to incorporate technology in our groups to allow students to become more successful in learning. However, we lack the technology required to achieve this goal. There are numerous learning apps and programs that students can use to practice and/or master reading & writing objectives. It would be awesome to have tablets readily available to use on a daily basis!
