These books will not only benefit my students, but also benefit their families. Many of my students bring it to my attention that they don't have books at home. I'll let my students borrow these books so that the students and their families can practice reading at home. Being able to read at home will greatly help to improve my students' vocabulary, English language development and, of course, reading skills. The students make goals for themselves each marking period, and they're always so excited to read new books and share them with their families. The students will be able to use their newly acquired phonics knowledge from lessons throughout the week, and apply their knowledge to reading books at home over the weekends.
