If we had a set of four Chromebooks at a learning station in our classroom, a small group of students could collaborate to complete research-based science projects, like Invention Convention. I was reading an article in the New York Times recently and it stated the top five skills desired by Fortune 500 companies. In order of importance they were: teamwork, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, oral communication, and listening. I want my students to be lifelong learners and lovers of learning for the rest of their lives. The management and practice of these skills are a constant goal in my teaching practice. A small set of Chromebooks will help my students become more technologically literate and to become better consumers and producers of technology. The Chromebooks will help me assist my students with research to build and present their knowledge and would be used daily in the classroom.
