Creating this softball club for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls will give our girls a chance to release stress. This club will keep our girls out of mischief and into motivation. This club will be designed to not only teach a skill that will stick with our girls but teach them the value of a team. They will learn to grow as a unit, to respect themselves and other girls. Two days a week these girls will receive homework help (which many do not get) and a chance to run and be free. The vision is for these young ladies to find confidence, self-worth, and self motivation through their new found skill of softball. To see the faces of these young ladies on the first day of our club with their new equipment and new found confidence in knowing they belong will be priceless! These young ladies will find self worth in being part of a club, "I'm a part of a team, I belong!" They will feel value in themselves knowing that someone cared enough about their futures to invest in their equipment. They won't have to worry if they can't afford a glove or to contribute to the need of softballs so that our club can function. Their only concern will be to see this club as an opportunity and take advantage. This club is designed to inspire our young ladies. Every time they throw or hit a ball I want them to feel motivated to move towards a college education with their new found skill. The use of our new equipment will open eyes to an obtainable dream. These young ladies need this outlet, they need to feel a sense of belonging. This club is designed to totally build them up from inside and out.
