These books will continue to enhance my guided reading time and push my above-average readers to the next level. Through rich illustrations and great writing, they will come to know who Milton Hershey was and will be able to learn about aspects of biographies. My kids love to learn about new people and places, and what better way to engage than with the history of chocolate? In coordination with our novel study, The Chocolate Touch, I'd like to use Who Was Milton Hershey? as a non-fiction companion piece. They will learn about Milton and his struggles to create his first business, as well as how he spread his success through his community.
