Students are learning to write narratives and informational papers using technology such as an iPad or laptop along with a paper and pencil. By having iPads and slanted writing boards readily available students will have the opportunity to experience the joys of writing in multiple forms. They will have the opportunity to write with proper hand formation using the slanted board. After revisions made by my to their written rough draft they will use the iPads to type their assignments. By having access to these materials will make my students feel a sense of accomplishment and pride being able to complete such complex tasks. Many of my students come from low income homes where having access to technology is limited or not at all. Having access to these materials during the school day will increase creativity, work product, and tolerance with writing.
