The following paragraph is inspired by author, Lemony Snicket, and Star Wars. My students have tons of questions about the world around them and a wide range of interests that my first year library simply cannot satisfy. I am distressed. I fret that if my library does not begin to satiate their literary appetites that they may turn to other means to quench their starved minds like...internet games. Help me. You are my only hope. These books can help our classroom with independent reading, book clubs, and finding common interests among peers. Some students have no reading material at home and expanding my library would allow for students to check out books to take home and invite their families to engage in reading with their children.
