This carpet will allow our culturally diverse students to have more space in which to listen, share and learn about new concepts and grow as young learners in our Kindergarten classroom. Further, as part of our "focus-centers", this new space will allow all students to interact with one another and expand their social connections and build language skills. This is especially important during this crucial developmental stage in early childhood. As individuals, pairs and/or larger groups, students will have the opportunity to choose a variety of spaces around the classroom in which to show their learning beyond the traditional classroom table.
