My students look forward to choosing the perfect book to read during IDR or when other work has been completed, but we currently don’t have individual book bins for the students to store their books in. Since we do not have cubbies in the classroom, my students have to put all their things in their desk. This makes it hard for them to store their “perfect” book in their desk without damaging the pages. With these new book bins, I will be able to assign each student a bin and allow them to select books that are appropriate for his/her individual reading level. We could also use a new sharpener. It’s time for the one we have to retire...
