Personalized learning is vital to strengthening a learner's area of deficit. When my students finish with their independent core instruction or they're waiting to receive small group instruction, they can still be actively engaged in learning by receiving personalized instruction via computer software and/or programs using a tablet. Oppose to being idle, while waiting for their next transition, I can assign individual prescribed computer lessons for them to complete. These lessons will help strengthen my students' personal areas of need. Many of my students do not have access to the internet at home; more technology in the classroom can be beneficial to my students.
