As a teacher I am constantly researching and utilizing the internet to provide my students with the best education possible. Frequently I find fantastic interactive webpages, but do not have enough computers for all my students to access this information. My students are capable of using technology independently and successfully, we just need the materials. My goal is to obtain enough Chromebooks for everyone in the class, and slowly we will get there. Having enough computers for all will allow me to teach all subject areas, including technology, by them having hands-on, immediate practice. I will also then have the opportunity to teach my students the computer skills they will need to be proficient in the future. There are many websites that I can teach from that students can respond on using the computer. This allows me to constantly monitor and give students immediate feedback that they need. This generation of students is so different from years past. They require constant engagement and a variety of teaching methods. These Chromebooks will help us get there!
