These USB drum pads are going to make music sampling, sequencing and composition a fun, interactive activity throughout the Honors Creative Arts Studio Music curriculum. While learning how to sing and play the keyboard, ukulele and guitar, students will be learning how to: sample from isolated vocal and instrumental tracks, load and program the samples onto the midi "triggers", and sequence the samples to create their own music using the USB drum pads. USB drum pads are highly accessible for students of all ability levels, and are already compatible with our classroom chromebooks and music software, which makes them an asset for students that are new to music and music education. My goal is for individual students and small groups of students to eventually create their own vocal and instrumental samples in order to program their own musical ensembles of instruments and sounds.
