My students will be able to manipulate science to get a better grasp of concepts. Physically creating circuits, feeling magnets repel, and creating solar systems, among other activities, will help them retain information. These buckets that are being requested will bring science into the classroom and into my students' hands, allowing them to "feel" what they are learning. They will not have to rely completely on textbooks and abstract terminology. They will get to experience science first hand. Having these buckets will engage learners who are otherwise distracted, will assist with differentiated instruction, and encourage cooperative learning as students can work in groups in addition to independent practice.
