Since receiving my order, my students are more excited and engaged to attend small group lessons, or to come sit in the scoop seats on the carpet. The wiggle cushions are used for my attention friends to keep their bodies active and their minds calm. The wobble and bounce chairs also act as individual incentives, and student behaviors have improved because they want to earn more points throughout the week to earn a special seat. The quality of these items are incredible and I am so thankful to have these in our classroom. I'm excited for them to last for years to come. Your kindness has made an incredible impact, and I am thrilled to share just how much it has already transformed our learning space.\r\n\r\nThe addition of this rug has created an inviting and warm atmosphere where students naturally gravitate throughout the day. It has quickly become a favorite spot for independent reading, collaborative projects, and class discussions. Whether we are gathering for a morning meeting, working on partner activities, or simply taking a moment to refocus, this rug has provided a soft, welcoming space for learning and growth.\r\n\r\nOne of the most remarkable changes I've observed since introducing the rug is the way it encourages student engagement. Having a comfortable place to sit has given students a sense of ownership over their learning environment, empowering them to make choices about where they work best. Many students now prefer spreading out on the rug for independent assignments, allowing them to feel more at ease while staying focused. It has also fostered a stronger sense of community, as they come together in small groups to share ideas and collaborate more effectively.\r\n\r\nBeyond its physical comfort, the rug has played a significant role in helping to create a classroom environment where students feel safe and supported. For some children, school can be an overwhelming place, but having a soft space where they can sit and work comfortably makes a world of difference. The sense of security and stability it provides helps students feel more at home, making our classroom not just a place for academic growth but also one of emotional well-being.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided more than just a rug; you have given my students a space that enhances their learning experience every single day. Because of your support, they have a designated area that fosters creativity, collaboration, and a love for learning. It is inspiring to see the joy on their faces as they settle onto the rug with a good book or excitedly discuss a group project with their classmates.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and in the importance of a positive learning environment. Your kindness has left a lasting impact on our classroom, and we are truly grateful for your support. We appreciate you being a part of our journey, and we hope you know just how much your gift means to us.","fullyFundedDate":1736957671329,"projectUrl":"project/getting-collaborative-on-the-carpet/9015094/","projectTitle":"Getting Collaborative on the Carpet","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Whiteside","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4758441_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1504534924233","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4758441"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2204","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":769,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":61,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":23,"percentWhite":41,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"17.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":80.5,"schoolId":2204,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Audrey W Garrett Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Audrey W Garrett Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/alamance-burlington-school-system/garrett-elementary-school/2204"}
