The leveled non-fiction books will make a beneficial addition to our class library. The students have been taught how to read non-fiction books, but have not had a lot of exposure and practice with them. It is important for students of all ages to be able to read both fiction and non-fiction texts. It is even more important for young children to begin forming a habit of reading information and actively applying it to their educational career and personal lives. Students who typically do not prefer fictional books will more readily enjoy non-fiction. This will give way for an opportunity for all of my students to want to read!
