Our school is wonderful school! We have two desktop computers in each classroom and a SmartBoard. This access to technology is very helpful, and as a teacher I am very appreciative, but my children need more computers in the classroom. Quite a few of the students don't have computers at home. They need to be comfortable using computers, as we are a living in a world of technology. Computers are one of the best tools to have at their disposal. They can research, read books, communicate with each other and even go on virtual field trips! They will be able to do both remedial and enriching activities for all subjects. The testing of the future is going to be online. I want to ensure my students are ready for this change. With laptops in the classroom, my students will be able to have a bigger technology center. They'll be able to read books online and then take short assessments so I can measure their comprehension. Your donation to fund these classroom laptops will not only have an impact on them this year, but it will help my students in years to come. It really is amazing how far we have come the past ten years with technology in the classroom. Technology is here to stay and every child should have access to a computer. You are on a computer right now, you know the value is priceless!
