My students love to collaborate and discuss their ideas and learning with each other. I am requesting book sets to have social studies book clubs. These will be very beneficial for my students. This will give them a meaningful way to collaborate with informational text in an interactive way. This will be a great way to combine social studies standards with ELA standards. My students will love the opportunity to engage in our history with each other. They will be able to discuss their ideas, which gets them excited about learning. Book clubs have proven to spark great conversation and generate deeper learning in my classroom. I can't wait for my students to have the opportunity to do this is Social Studies.
