I teach a loving, full-of-energy group of 3rd grade students with a desire to learn. My students come from diverse backgrounds, many with limited life experiences. They enjoy to learn new things. We explore learning and critical thinking daily. I want every student to exceed the Indiana Academic Standards through their experiences in my classroom. I teach in a high poverty school with 88 percent receiving free or reduced breakfast and lunch. I want to give them a rich education to help them succeed in life. My students face many challenges in their lives, but my goal is to make sure education is NOT one of those challenges.
