My students are from transitional kindergarten up to 6th graders children with disabilities. My classroom is a resource room to students with various mild to moderate disabilities; including students with learning/intellectual/speech and language disabilities, autism, other health impairments and hard of hearing. My students require support in skills such as reading, mathematics, organization, and social emotional support. The majority of the school is made up of English language learners and receive free/reduce lunch. When you look at my classroom, you will see students trying their best to improve in their basic skills and utilizing the resources around them to achieve their goals. They are all sweet, caring and hardworking individuals. I try to be up to date with the resources available so that my students can feel successful in my classroom, in their general education classroom, and in all settings.
