Our students are mostly English language learners. At our school, students are mostly in a Transitional Bilingual Education program or ENL (English as a New Language) program. They all have undergone a journey to where they are presently. As students who are culturally diverse and come from all walks of life, having access to literature that resonates with their journeys, is essential to their transition into our educational system. This book will give them access to explore the complexities of immigration in the United States as they reflect on their own journeys.
