We currently had a 65 gallon aquarium, but over the weekend the bottom fell out and we lost EVERYTHING. My students and the rest of the school were devastated by the loss. The project would help us get our aquarium up and running. Many teachers take their students to the aquarium to observe and learn about aquatic life. My class is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the aquarium and its animals. This has helped with math and science standards. It also helps with the special needs kids by letting them take ownership, keeping a schedule, and learning how to properly feed and care for animals.
